Program StaffAs part of the Program Staff, I facilitated scheduled programming, work in mission mobilization, event coordination, small group facilitation, and morning and evening worship service support. Part of that involved assisting in the registration of 5,000 students each week, setting up and preparing for those students, and ensuring that each church represented has the best possible experience. Because of the point position I was given, I had a variety of different responsibilities as well. I was responsible for providing venue and operational support to guest speakers from various organizations. I worked with guest speakers to make sure they feel comfortable and all their needs are met. Some of those duties include: introducing them, remaining available throughout their presentation to address any situational concerns, and reorganizing the meeting room to accommodate the next speaker and their guests.

MY EXPERIENCE ON PROGRAM STAFF AT FALLS CREEK
My position at Falls Creek has provided me with a vast amount of different learning opportunities and experiences that I have grown from. When you are off working at camp, sometimes you can feel like you've gone to a camp bubble. Falls Creek can be just like that, but also helps you realize life still goes on outside of camp. The executive staff and supervisors do well helping to empower their staff and encourage them to do the best they can for the students and sponsors that step on to those camp grounds. Falls Creek Conference Center has a wide variety of positions available to work in for all different types of people. For me, I am a planner, and a person who loves the details, and loves to see ideas come to life and make them happen. Program staff was perfect for me. Program Staff was a lot of work, but every bit of it was worth it. The friendships you make, the testimonies you get to hear, and the decisions you get to see made make every late night, every task, every conversation worth it. When you see those students and sponsors that you make friendships with; go down to make a decision to follow Christ, or surrender to the ministry; every bit of it is worth it. "Camp is good. Camp is Fun." is a statement we heard a lot. I want to add to that. "Camp is good. Camp is Fun. Camp is Hard. Camp is worth it." God is good and it has been an unbelievable, unexplainable, and overwhelming joy to work beside so many people striving to serve God and love on His people. God has taught me a lot through this internship and I am so excited to use that new knowledge to help share the love and joy in College Station, or wherever else God calls me to next.
Falls Creek has helped me grow as a person, as a Christian, and as an Aggie. It has helped me improve my multi-tasking skills, communication skills, and attention to detail. It has given me the opportunity to see the day to day operations and what goes on behind the scenes of a camp I went to as a camper. A lot of things go on behind the scenes of the camp and a lot of tasks have to be done for camp to go on the way it does. I got to see the ins and outs of a very large organization and it taught me more about being a leader, stepping out in my faith, and standing bold outside of my comfort zone. On our staff there could have easily been twenty independent leaders and no one assisting anyone else. Falls Creek took a team of leaders and helped us remember why good leaders succeed and it's because of the help they have along the way. They did well encouraging their staff to see different strengths in people and to help them utilize them the best way they can for Gods glory.
